Cenk Uygur: Imagine if We Never Ended the War on... →
Remember we did have a War on Alcohol. It was called Prohibition. In fact, we took that far more seriously than our War on Drugs. We even passed a constituional amendment about it. Of course, the gigantic difference is that we realized that was a mistake and reversed course. These days it doesn’t seem politically possible to ever change course.

The boys are asked to judge whether an item of clothing is something that might cause them to think wicked thoughts…so once again, the women are to blame for inciting men’s behavior by wearing tight jeans or a strapless dress. Well, this is disturbing. Taking a quick look over the survey, I discovered that apparently “A girl bending over and exposing her lower back is a stumbling...

thecurvature: In the U.S., there is currently an epidemic of sexual violence against Native American women — the rate of rape against Native women is 2.5 that of all other women in the U.S., and more than one in three Native American women will be raped in her lifetime. While some perpetrators are indeed Native themselves, a vast majority of the rapists (86%) are non-Natives, usually white...

Creation Tips
stfubelievers: “Creation Tips: A Christian site looking at God’s creation.” Where did Cain’s wife come from you might ask? Facepalm, that’s where. The land of Facepalm. (Thanks Amelia) Bwahaha! I love how they just make up rules about genetics out of thin air. “Yeah… incest was totally okay back then… because… because… they were so perfect, dammit!”

Secret Email Reveals more Homeopathic Killing in... →
Abha Light in Kenya [is] an organisation that sells a homeopathic product called MalariX. This sugar pill is used to treat and prevent malaria. It does not work – it is a simple sugar pill with no active ingredient. As such, encouraging people to use this deceptive treatment puts them at great risk from a deadly disease. This is beyond scary. Their goal is to “introduce natural medicine and...

Woman has her top pulled off and the video goes on... →
jonathan-cunningham: Credit to Jezebel for finding the link: A St. Louis Circuit Court jury deliberated 90 minutes before ruling against the woman, 26, on the third day of the trial. Lawyers on both sides argued the key issue was consent, with her side saying she absolutely refused to give it and the defense claiming she silently approved by taking part in the party. … “I am stunned that...

BBC News - Israeli Arab who 'raped' a woman says... →
According to the complaint filed by the woman, the two met in a Jerusalem street in 2008 and had sex that day. When she discovered he was not Jewish, but an Arab, she went to the police. WTF? Apparently there’s some precedence in their courts for charges of fraud in these situations, but rape? I think the judge desperately needs a dictionary.
