Atheism and Sex Research Survey →
This is a short survey about how your sexuality has developed over time and how it has changed in relation to your lack of belief in a god. The research is being conducted by Dr. Darrel Ray, author of The God Virus and Amanda Brown at the University of Kansas.  If you don’t believe in a god and want to help some researchers, click the link!

BBC News - Cases dropped against malaria... →
Officials have dropped charges against pharmacies alleged to have advised people to take homeopathic remedies to protect them against malaria instead of anti-malarial drugs. The General Pharmaceutical Council’s decision has been described as “shabby and irresponsible” by some who helped bring the case against the pharmacies. Un. Fracking. Believable. Then what is the...

Conan on Wednesday will be unmissable →
chris: No, not because he has on two fairly shitty guests (Ice Cube the crap movie sell-out and Denis Leary the Bill Hicks plagiarist), but because Tim Minchin’s performing in the comedy segment: Tim will be providing the entertainment on Wednesday night’s Conan, alongside interviews with Ice Cube and Dennis Leary! Interview
I went to the job interview in san francisco earlier today and I think it went pretty well. It can be hard to tell sometimes but we seemed to have a good understanding. I really really hope I get this job. Not just because being unemployed sucks but because it would be so great to be closer to my family. They said they would know by tuesday and are hoping to have someone start in 2 weeks. So if...

Open Homosexual Dances With Little Boy... | DAN... →
Shocking, I tell you! Shocking! ;-) It’s actually very cute, and I love the way he ends the article: “To the haters I say: you’re losing and you’re losing badly—and not just in Congress or state legislatures or on cable news shoutfests. The most important battles you’re losing are taking place in living rooms all over the country.”

Don’t say “believe”. Say “accept”. | pandagon.net →
I would like, if at all possible, to declare a moratorium on using the word “believe” to describe what people do in relationship to scientifically sound theories backed up by oodles of evidence. I’ve definitely had to catch myself from going into the “believe” trap on many occasions.
