Italy-Serbia Euro 2012 tie abandoned after fan trouble
The Euro 2012 qualifier between Italy and Serbia in Genoa was abandoned after Serbia fans continued to throw flares on to the pitch and light fireworks.
Yikes. That is messed up.
Wow. I’m not sure how I feel about this yet. Definitely relieved that a deal has been done but I’ll reserve judgement until I hear what the new owners say…
I’m intrigued though. I went to college in Boston and although I’m not really a baseball person I do have a soft spot for the Red Sox :-)

Liverpool striker Dirk Kuyt suffers shoulder injury
Liverpool striker Dirk Kuyt has picked up a shoulder injury during training with the Netherlands. Van Marwijk claimed the player had “strained and possibly torn ligaments in his shoulder” after falling awkwardly at the ADO Den Hague stadium. It is not yet clear how many weeks or days Kuyt will be out for. Hopefully, not too many.
Ugggggghhhhhhh. Frackin’ international breaks! Apparently he’s out for a few weeks :-(
